Welcome to Post Grad Money Management!
Post Grad Money is a project I started in 2020 to help students and recent graduates take control of their finances. I enjoy reading and learning about personal finance topics in my spare time, and want to share everything I learn as I go.
Being a college student or a postgraduate comes with a HUGE set of financial concerns, including student loan debt, rent, job hunting, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” Things have become particularly difficult for Gen Y and Gen Z due to the 2019 pandemic, several recessions, a crippling student loan debt crisis, and a wage crisis.
Too often, personal finance articles are either overly complicated or completely tone deaf to the realities of student and postgrad life in this day and age. That’s where PGM comes in.
This is the sort of guide I would have loved to have as a recent graduate. Now that I am in law school with student loan debt, my goal is to garner enough knowledge to reach financial freedom someday.
Please note: I do NOT claim to be a financial expert. This blog is for informational purposes only and not official financial advice.
The mission
My ultimate mission is to make money management simple, relatable, and doable for students and postgraduates. One does not need to be a finance expert to start building healthy money habits. Clear guidance and strategies that can actually be put into practice are fundamental for building positive money management habits.
On this website, you’ll find:
- Guidance on money manifestation
- Emphasis on the importance of a positive mindset in managing finances.
- Debt and loan management strategies.
- Saving hacks that actually work without cutting all the fun out of your life.
- Side hustle and career advice to grow your income – fast.
- Real-life stories and guides from someone who may or may not have been in your shoes.
Why PGM is Different
PGM is completely tuned in to the issues and obstacles affecting this generation of students and postgrads. I try to keep it real and won’t waste your time with “get rich quick” or impractical filler nonsense. I want to provide clear advice you can start using today.
Whether you’re figuring out how to stretch your paycheck, save for your first apartment, or pay off your student loans, my goal is to be your go-to resource for navigating money confidently as you step into postgrad life.
